I speak three languages. English, Italian, and Spanish. I also hope to take in the future French and German, and maybe even Russian.

I hope to major in international law and politics in college and my dream college is Harvard, although I’m most like;y attending a school in London, England.
I have had perfect attendance throughout high school.
I am a huge procrastinator. I do things the night before it’s due. It’s a really bad habit and has seriously set me back in my writing.
I have a cat. His name is Maya and he is the sweetest thing. Anyway he’s a year old. Here’s his story: we found him in our back yard by himself last May. He was about 3 weeks old. We had a neighbor look at him and she worked with animals for a living. She told us he was a girl. So we named in Maya. 6 months later, Maya goes to the vet and “congratulations its a boy.”
I have consistently placed in writing contests in my school. I’ve got the metals to prove it It’s not a big accomplishment, but hey I’d like to think it means my writing is good.
I am both in Math Honor Society and National Honor Society. Yeah, I’m a geek. Oh well.
I go on walks every day. Listening to music while moving helps me to think of scenes.
I am a huge worrier. I get anxious over stupid things. Like the dentist. I hate it. If given the oppurtunity i would hyperventalite. I also don’t like not knowing where members of my family are at given moments. Not so much at home, but when we are at the mall. I’m perfectly fine with wanderingabout the mall seperated from my family. But if my brother and i are at the same store and i dont know where he is thats a problem for me.

Alright so i haven’t done a normal rant in forever. So here it goes:
We all want to grow up, and the realization that I too was growing up, just hit me. Finishing up my junior year in high school, i have recently learned that my college application for dream school is due August 1st. That’s nearly four months away and I don’t even have a resume done! How am I suppose to be applying for college while I am still working on impossibly long summer assignments for my AP classes? Anyway, this is when things got real and I realized, “Hey if i don’t get a move on I’m not going to college when I graduate. This is scary, as is the tution cost and application fee’s. As a girl who hasn’t worked a day in her life, I have faced the fact that i am either going to have to get a job or be hopelessly in debt the rest of my life. But then again there’s the possibility that my book quickly becomes a New York Times Best Seller, making me and my co-writer the next Stephenie Meyers, or J.K. Rowling, and – Whoops I’m getting off topic. Anyway there’s just a short little rant about the unrealness of this all. What is your craziest college experience? Tell in the comments below.
This just may be the most frighting aspect of being a writer ever: Your ability to “be” your character. This is a writer’s ability to be able to turn on their characters personality in their own minds in an instant. It’s a bit like having multiple personalities if you want to think about it in a psychological sense. New ideas are constantly flowing through your mind, and with them you automatically start thinking about how your character would react, the exact words he/she would use. When you sit down to write, you are no longer you, you are your character. At least that’s how it feels to me.

This is one of the truest statement i have ever heard. When you write you are no longer in reality. You are in your character’s world, and it’s up to you to explore it. When you sit down to write, you really have no clue what new aspect you may be adding to your character’s story that day. Maybe you will discover something new about his or her past or one of their darkest secrets. You just never know. I found an article written by another writer that i believe beautifully explains what writers go through with their characters.
To sum it up: the way you and you’re character(s) “communicate” is totally unique for each writer. Although it might sound crazy, it is something nearly every writer/ author experiences. So don’t worry! You’re not crazy! You are just a writer!
When my co-writer and I began writing our book we thought we knew how everything was going to go down and boy were we wrong. Our plans for the story-line are constantly changing. To be honest, our book is a completely different one than we originally imagined, but that’s fine. After all if we surprised ourselves, just think how surprised are readers will be! here are just a few examples of how things have changed in our book (obviously i have to be very ambiguous about this all) :
The criminals in the book (let’s call them Carson and Liz) were originally suppose to be captured midway through and then escape in the last few pages of the book. Not any more.
Tessa and Dean (look at Day 1 : troubles to get the reference to the names) were supposed to be separated in the beginning of the book and reunited at the end. Although they are still separated, they never will come back together. (Unless we decide to write a sequel!)
Our characters personalities changed a lot too. Dean was suppose to be a perfectly normal in every way guy. Now he suffers from severe memory lapses, which cause flashbacks to traumatic experiences in his past. He also gets severely depressed for a few scenes because of a sudden death.
Lastly, and I’m not quite sure if this counts as a change, but we have added a crazy amount of characters to our story line. We had only planned for two main characters (which there still is) and maybe 5 or 6 minor characters. That minor character count has jumped to an insane twenty people. It gets real hard sometimes keeping track of them all, but between my co-writer and I it’s manageable. Of course I use the term “manageable” very loosely.
Anyway what I am trying to get at is things change quite quickly. If your a new writer and you are frustrated about this, I can offer only one piece of advice: Don’t worry about it! Your characters will figure out. Sounds crazy, doesn’t it? But it’s true. If you have mastered the art of being your character (*cough cough* hint to next post’s topic) then you will let them control your story. Somehow it all just falls right into place.
So i wrote this “about me” post the first day i opened my website and well, it got lost. But now i have found it and if anyone actually cares, Here it is:
Well umm that’s classified. Nah I’m just kidding. I am pretty much your typical teenager. I go to high school, hang out with my crazy friends, and deal with chaotic teachers. Like most teenagers i have way too much on my plate. I take AP English Language and Composition (in my opinion it is by far the worst AP class i have ever taken….sorry all die-hard annotators), AP U.S. History and AP Biology. My homework load averages about 7 hours a night, but hey who needs sleep? Between homework, Drivers Ed ( because i am a horrid driver), tutoring other students who annoyingly spend the whole session texting,and writing a book, my life becomes very busy, very quickly. Lets see what else can i say? My dream job is becoming an FBI special agent and one day i would love to own a black Audi r8 spyder. It will be mine one day, but um the $200,000 thing sorta gets in the way. My favorite shows are Sherlock (on BBC America) and Criminal Minds. My favorite book this week (besides my own) is Private London by James Patterson. It’s an amazing book. That reminds me. I LOVE LONDON. Anything London. Well that seems like enough for me to write for now. I will try to post once or twice a week. Got any questions. I’d love to answer them. Shoot me an email or something. Hmmm i think i will create a tab for my book. Well while i figure that out, enjoy my website. It’s still undergoing changes and development, but i promise i will complete it ASAP. After 5 months of writing a few problems have come up. To list a few:
Because of being in school, my co writer and I don’t have the time to just wake up in the morning and write until midnight and what winds up happening is we get so much school work that sometimes we cant write until 2 weeks after our previous time we sat down to. As a result of the long periods in between writing discontinuities sometimes occur and thats just no fun. For example: (Since i do not wish to reveal the actual names of our characters i will refer to the main male character as Dean and the main female as Tessa) In the beginning of the book Dean lived in an apartment in York* and by the end he lives in a regular house in York*. Same location, different housing. Another issue with longevity is sometimes you forget how to “be” your character. Example: I write Deans part. My co-writer writes Tessa’s. Sometimes i forget how Dean may act or what he would think. It’s annoying to say the least. ( * this is not the actual location we used in our book)
Despite the fact that we love writing our book, sometimes it’s hard to think of new scenes/events. That doesn’t mean we put no effort into certain chapters. Not at all. Instead it means that the chapter needs to be more carefully thought out. For example: If I know that the last place i left off Dean was spending a few days in the hospital, i may already have ideas for him receiving a call from a lost friend 4 days later, but i wont know what to do with the days in between. What typically happens at that point is i will write down my ideas in my “Idea book” and i will sit in front of my computer for 2 hours until i come up with an awesome middle piece.
The internet is a very distracting place. I will sit down at my desk, tell myself i will dedicate 2 or 3 hours to writing, and then 5 minutes later i have found myself on Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, and Reddit. Plus i have my cell phone which is constantly buzzing. All in all at the end of those 3 hours i told myself i would write maybe only 30 minutes was actually spent on the physical writing. Damn you 21st century and your cool technologies.
Last, but not least the way we write the book has its hiccups. This is how My co-writer and I communicate: we will either text or Facebook message each other for 5 hours straight discussing ideas, writing dialogue (Or rather impersonating our own characters), and whatever else pops into our minds (usually BBC’s Sherlock). From there we begin writing and when we are done with a section we email the piece to each other. A big problem with this method is if one of us has a lot of school work, or is busy, or is simply lazy, there are times were the writing process can go no further unless that person sends their piece. Obviously that presents huge problems and can lead to issues listed in bullet #1. Other then that the system works. We meet once a week in person for 2 hours, discuss the book, go home, and write. Yay progress!

After writing a book with my close friend and Co-writer for nearly 5 months, i thought it was about time to write a blog about the experience. It really is and will continue to be a very interesting experience, and I would like to share it with all of you. That is why i have created this new category: “Writers Blog.” Pretty straightforward stuff. For now I will try to update the blog once a week, unless something really amazing happens. Maybe when summer rolls around and I’m not studying for 4 AP exams, an SAT and my ACT, i will update it more frequently. Until then though: Enjoy!
so have you ever sat down and began to write something and someone like a jerk comes over and asks something along the lines of, “What? you writing a novel over there?” Well now i can answer them with “Yes i am.” I am writing a book with a close friend and we quite appropriately have called ourselves, “Partners in crime.” Although there is no way of knowing yet when our book will be released. In no way is this a representation of how much work we have put into this book. The video may be a little bit mediocre, but I’m not a video producer. Now it may only be my second week of drivers ed, but let me tell you: it is a very scary experience. I mean you’re putting your life in the hands of 3 other inexperienced drivers. Don’t know about you but thats scary. sorry guys but i sorta don’t want to die today. Well besides that fact, i learned that I dont know my right of ways if my life depended on it and that going slow isnt exactly my forte. Oh im suppose to be going 30mph. Isn’t 45 mph close enough? Another thing i’d like to talk about is school zones. No one is ever going to do 15 mph. Never. I mean your car is barely crawling along at that speed. Traffic circles are annoying too. They’re not so much difficult but i just dont see the purpose of them in some cases. I swear sometimes they just put one in for the fun off it. “Hey guys wouldnt it be an awesome idea to make this little round-about thingy and all the drivers will be forced to go through it and it will drop them off in the same place they were just at. HAH! won’t that be funny?” i swear that’s what goes through their heads. Alright well that’s my views on drivers ed so far. *Insert sarcasm* I cant wait to see what the next 14 weeks bring!
